Loli Acosta Armas and her hobby taken up again with passion

As readers of FIFI.NU already know, this is a space reserved not only for what happens within FIFI in creative matters, but also for all the variety of knitters and crocheters who open the door to this passion in their lives. It is beautiful to celebrate, respect and admire the talent and creativity of others because perhaps we can develop the virtue that Keith Chesterton described "We admire things for reasons, but we love them without reasons."

On this occasion, Loli Acosta Armas comes to FIFI in Sweden from the Canary Islands. A woman who has developed her professional career in the world of commerce and at the suggestion of a close friend has taken up a hobby, almost forgotten, with an enviable passion and enthusiasm.

Loli received detailed lessons from Alvarita PadrĆ³n, now deceased, who has been a great reference in the Canary Islands in popular culture for her work as a famous artisan, poet and author of books on El Hierro gastronomy. At that time, the educational system still valued the knowledge of crafts and self-production skills and "handicrafts" were studied in school, as is still the case in other European countries.

Loli learned everything she had to learn, and when she started knitting again she discovered that it is not only a hobby that develops her creativity, stimulating her talent, ability and satisfaction, but also, as many scientists have already shown, it is a perfect tool to manage the stress that we all suffer from today.

She herself admits that what she likes most about knitting is the feeling of relaxation and tranquility that it gives her.

She took up her needles again just a few weeks ago and has already made two fabulous sweaters with attractive and elegant designs. Here at FIFI.NU, we show them to you.

This is her "Prince Albert" sweater
