Flora, Fauna and Spring...

Yes, it seems that Sleeping Beauty's fairies have come to awaken us from the slumber of a winter that stripped, exhausted, and dried out our beautiful and beloved flora. Life begins apace with the arrival of the first warm rays of sunlight, which seem to embrace the battered trees, giving them a breath of life and relief and reminding us that life goes on despite the gray and difficult moments. Thus, Mother Nature continues the cycle of life, with small symbols of hope that remind us that no matter what happens, she always finds a way forward.

The first flowers display velvety petals and inspire us with their colors to reclaim our fabric and heal ourselves with baths of color. Colors, textures, shapes, and interwoven geometry serve as an ointment to heal all the pain we humans cause ourselves and sacred Nature. With each stitch, a step forward towards good, towards Peace. And so, amidst the bliss of spring and the promise of brighter times, it occurred to me that I could collaborate with Mother Nature by crocheting more sustainable projects, like my first 100% organic cotton makeup remover wipes. Soft and delicate like an almond blossom. And yes, there are many brands out there, but for me (even though I'm not paid to promote it), Hilaturas LM has managed to make me not want to use any other cotton, and that's why I'm selling it, because I'm in love with it.

To start: make a magic ring.

Round 1: 2dc in ring, ch1; rep from *five more times. Join.

Round 2: (2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc) in each ch-1 sp. Join.

Round 3: 7 dc in each ch-1 sp. Join.

Round 4: S.c in 7 dc, s.c. in point where 2 dc and 2 dc meet in Round 2 (long s.c); rep from five more times. Join.

Round 5: S.C in long sc, chain 4, skip next 3 s.c, dc in next dc, ch 4, skip next 3 sc; rep from five more times

Round 6: (2 sc, picot, 2sc) in every chain space. Join with sl.st.
